Establishment and implementation of a monitoring strategy of selected target species of molluscs during the years 2010 and 2011

Research included the distribution of Anisus vorticulus, Vertigo geyeri and Unio crassus in Slovenia while monitoring of the Vertigo angustior and Unio crassus  populations in  the 13 selected sample plots was conducted. Field research focused on monitoring Unio crassus in ten streams distributed throughout Slovenia. Unio crassus in Slovenia is a very vulnerable species and hence, requires more attention.
