My research focuses on ecology and conservation, with a particular interest in pollinators. I have studied butterfly population dynamics, with a strong focus on species protected under the Habitats Directive. In my most recent research, I also explore how ecological interactions shape pollinator communities, specifically investigating the potential competition between managed and wild pollinators.
Across all my studies, I am especially committed to developing scientifically robust, evidence-based conservation strategies that support entire pollinator communities, from highly specialised species, such as protected butterflies, to more widespread groups.
Alongside my strong interest in ecology and conservation, I have always been fascinated by Citizen Science and by the active involvement of citizens in scientific research projects.
