Moje raziskave zajemajo dve glavni področji. Raziskujem reproduktivno vedenje in strategije z vidika spolne selekcije, pri čemer preučujem, kako postkopulacijski mehanizmi – kot sta kriptična izbira samic in tekmovanje spermijev – oblikujejo te lastnosti.
Moje drugo raziskovalno področje se osredotoča na vplive na okolje, predvsem na vprašanje, kako onesnaženje z vodnimi pesticidi vpliva na biološko sposobnost preživetja plenilcev ob vodah. To raziskovalno področje trenutno razvijam kot podoktorski raziskovalec Marie Skłodowska-Curie na Biološkem inšitutu Jovana Hadžija (BIJH) – ZRC SAZU. Medtem ko se tradicionalne ocene tveganja pogosto osredotočajo na smrtonosno toksičnost, moje delo raziskuje kritičen vpliv subletalnih ravni pesticidov. Integriram inovativne kazalnike sposobnosti preživetja, s poudarkom na spolnem vedenju in lastnostih gamet pri obeh spolih, da bi zagotovil niansiran vpogled v to, kako onesnaževala motijo reproduktivni uspeh in dolgoročno preživetje vrst ob vodah.
Za odgovor na ta vprašanja v svojih raziskavah uporabljam predvsem pajkovce kot modelne organizme, s poudarkom na pajkih. Poleg tega sem soustanovitelj Latinskoameriške mreže za razvoj arahnologije (RAEL - Red de Aracnología Emergente Latina), društva, ki se posveča promociji in spodbujanju arahnoloških študij med mladimi raziskovalci v Latisnki Ameriki.
